The monkeys fist rope is typically used subsea to allow ROV manipulators to interface with equipment underwater.
Commonly used for attachment to pins or levers to allow ROV interfacing of equipment not specifically designed for interfacing by ROV.
Available in 75mm or 90mm diameter balls with a plain or spliced loop on the other end.
Our standard colours are blue or orange and are produced from 10mm diameter premium quality polypropylene rope with a breaking load of up to 1,500kg.
Can be used at any seawater depth without deformation or failure.
Out standard length is 1.2 meters, other lengths available upon request.
Our monkey fist balls are produced from solid rope with no insert ball, they are rigid and do not compress or deform. Produced from the highest quality polypropylene rope and expertly constructed.
Our monkeys fist float in water which allows easy interfacing by the ROV.
On our version with the spliced eye, the end loop is sized to allow the rope ball to pass through the loop to allow the item to be tied with a choke type knot.
We can supply items such as carabiners, r-clips, eye bolts and eye nuts to allow various attachment options. These items are all supplied in 316 Stainless Steel for underwater use.
